To capture the artistic essence of the client’s home and re-embed it into a new ever-evolving space adapted to a growing family.
The family had lived in the house for ten years before deciding to undertake the works. We worked in parallel but initially blindfolded to one another’s ideas, to see if we were aligned in thought. When we unveiled our individual, image-based ideas we did in fact share much of the same vision.
We began future-proofing the family home by creating a spacious downstairs and side extension, inserting a wider staircase and all whilst planning to showcase their impressive collection of furniture, art, and memorabilia. The key was to retain the personalities but enhance the spatial arrangements.
