Mutina / Pimavera Tile CollectionThe brief was to create a new tiling collection for the use on floors, walls and outdoors.
We began with inspirational imagery, whether zooming into a landscape such as a Moroccan desert scene or just extracting the coloured leads from pencils. We were looking for the amazing pops of hidden colour in nature, grouping various tones together to find a base family to suit.
The work spanned early investigations, plotting our colour narrative, through technical development and prototyping in Italy until the final collection was revealed; five base colour unglazed porcelain stoneware tiles with speckle variants.
Mutina / Lanes Tile CollectionWe challenged ourselves to create a tile collection around this theme; ‘London is a city made up of incredible architectural differences and colour’.
We studied an overview of central London neighborhoods and their demarcation by varied tones and colours, resulting in very clear colour zones. These colours became the backdrop and base for each collection.
Rimowa / LVMH / Aluminium and Polycarbonate Cases We created new colours for polycarbonate and aluminium cases for ‘Rimowa Colour Stories’. These were based on the natural and the unexpected, the hidden colours in the places we visit, discoveries within the landscape.
